Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup granulated sugar (for coating)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Non-stick cooking spray

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine water, butter, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in flour until a dough forms.
  3. Let cool for 5 minutes. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in vanilla.
  4. Transfer dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
  5. Preheat air fryer to 375°F. Line basket with parchment and lightly spray with cooking spray.
  6. Pipe 4-inch strips of dough into the basket, cutting with scissors. Do not overcrowd.
  7. Air fry for 10 minutes or until golden brown and crisp.
  8. Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Roll warm churros in the mixture and serve.
