Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated cinnamon roll dough (with icing)
  • 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and finely diced
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a muffin tin.
  2. Separate cinnamon rolls and flatten each into a small circle.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter and add apples, sugar, and cinnamon. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  4. Mix cornstarch with water, then stir into apple mixture until thickened. Remove from heat.
  5. Place each flattened cinnamon roll into a muffin cup, pressing up the sides.
  6. Spoon apple filling evenly into each cup.
  7. Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Drizzle with included icing before serving.
