Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease an 8-inch round baking dish.
Open the cinnamon rolls and unroll each one into a long strip.
Spread chopped apple pie filling evenly over each strip and sprinkle with cinnamon and pecans if using.
Roll the strips back up and place them into the prepared baking dish.
Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until golden and cooked through.
Drizzle with the included icing and serve warm.
