Ingredients

  • 2 cups canned apple pie filling (or homemade)
  • 1 tablespoon salted butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 6 flour tortillas (8-inch size)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (for topping)
  • Butter-flavored spray or additional melted butter for frying

Instructions

  1. In a small pan over medium heat, melt butter. Add apple pie filling, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir until warmed and combined.
  2. In a small bowl, mix granulated sugar with cinnamon and set aside.
  3. Lay out tortillas. Spoon the apple filling mixture onto half of each tortilla and fold them over.
  4. Heat a nonstick skillet on medium. Spray or brush each quesadilla lightly with butter and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. Immediately sprinkle the hot quesadillas with cinnamon sugar.
  6. Slice into wedges and serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream if desired.
