Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a bowl, mix the shredded chicken with the barbecue sauce until well coated.
Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping them connected.
Place the bottom half in a greased baking dish and evenly spread the BBQ chicken over the rolls.
Layer provolone cheese slices over the chicken.
Place the top half of the rolls back on.
In a small bowl, mix melted butter with garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Brush over the top of the rolls.
Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Uncover and bake for another 5 minutes until golden.
Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
