Ingredients

  • 2 ¼ teaspoons (1 packet) active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups diced apples
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm milk and let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Mix in sugar, melted butter, eggs, flour, salt, and cinnamon. Knead until smooth.
  3. Let the dough rise for 1 hour until doubled in size.
  4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread softened butter and sprinkle brown sugar and apples over it.
  5. Roll the dough into a log and slice into rolls. Place them in a greased baking dish.
  6. Let the rolls rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Drizzle with caramel sauce before serving.
