Ingredients

  • 6 cups peeled, cored, and sliced Granny Smith apples
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup quick-cooking oats
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup caramel topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a 9x13-inch baking dish, toss sliced apples with lemon juice, white sugar, cinnamon, and water.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, oats, and softened butter until crumbly.
  4. Sprinkle the topping evenly over the apple mixture.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes until apples are tender and the topping is golden brown.
  6. Drizzle caramel topping over the crisp before serving.
