Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 2 cups cabbage, finely chopped
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 pack dumpling wrappers
  • 1/4 cup water (for sealing dumplings)
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 1/3 cup water (for steaming)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix ground chicken, cabbage, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place a spoonful of the filling into the center of each dumpling wrapper.
  3. Moisten the edges with water, then fold and seal tightly.
  4. Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan over medium heat. Add dumplings in a single layer and fry until golden brown on the bottom.
  5. Pour in 1/3 cup water, cover, and steam for 5 minutes or until fully cooked.
  6. Uncover and let the remaining water evaporate. Serve hot with dipping sauce.
