Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into cubes
  • 1/2 cup plain non-fat Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoons ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • Skewers, soaked if wooden

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together yogurt, lemon juice, oil, garlic, ginger, and all the spices.
  2. Add chicken cubes and coat well with marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, ideally overnight.
  3. Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread chicken pieces onto skewers, leaving space between each piece.
  5. Grill skewers for 5-6 minutes per side or until the chicken is fully cooked and slightly charred.
  6. Serve hot with lemon wedges, naan, or salad.
