In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Stir in the vanilla and milk until combined.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined.
Fold in the chopped peaches gently.
Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
