Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz silver tequila
  • 1 oz cream of coconut
  • 1 oz lime juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1/2 oz triple sec
  • Ice
  • Toasted coconut flakes (for garnish)
  • Lime wedge (for garnish)
  • Salt or sugar for rim (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rim the edge of a margarita glass with a lime wedge and dip it into salt or sugar, if desired.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
  3. Add tequila, cream of coconut, lime juice, and triple sec.
  4. Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.
  5. Strain into the prepared glass over fresh ice.
  6. Garnish with a lime wedge and toasted coconut flakes.
