Ingredients

  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1½ cups self-rising flour
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder (if using all-purpose flour)
  • 1 egg yolk + 1 tablespoon water (for egg wash)
  • Everything bagel seasoning or sesame seeds, for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine cottage cheese and egg until smooth.
  3. Add self-rising flour and stir until a dough forms. Knead gently if needed.
  4. Divide dough into 4 equal parts and shape each into a bagel.
  5. Place bagels on the prepared baking sheet. Brush with egg wash.
  6. Sprinkle with desired toppings and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.
