Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 8 oz crab meat (imitation or real), chopped
  • Wonton wrappers
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix cream cheese, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, onion powder, sugar, black pepper, and green onions.
  2. Fold in the chopped crab meat until evenly combined.
  3. Place about 1 tsp of filling in the center of each wonton wrapper.
  4. Wet the edges of the wrapper with water, fold into a triangle, and press to seal. Make sure no air is trapped inside.
  5. Heat oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Fry rangoons in batches for 2–3 minutes, until golden and crispy.
  7. Drain on paper towels and serve with sweet and sour sauce or your favorite dip.
