Place sliced apples and pomegranate seeds in a lightly greased 8-inch square baking dish. Drizzle with lemon juice and gently toss to coat.
In a medium bowl, combine brown sugar, oats, flour, and cinnamon. Cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Sprinkle the topping evenly over the fruit mixture.
Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the fruit is tender.
Serve warm, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
