Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, toss the beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Sear the beef for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove from pan.
  3. In the same pan, sauté garlic, ginger, and bell peppers for 2 minutes.
  4. Return the beef to the pan. Add beef broth, hoisin sauce, and red pepper flakes.
  5. Stir fry everything together for 2 minutes. Drizzle with sesame oil and toss.
  6. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
