Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 packet active dry yeast (2 ¼ tsp)
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (plus more for greasing and topping)
  • Optional: Fresh rosemary, flaky sea salt, cherry tomatoes, garlic cloves

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add flour, salt, and 2 tbsp olive oil. Stir until a sticky dough forms.
  3. Transfer dough to a greased bowl, cover with a towel or plastic wrap, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  4. Grease a baking sheet or dish with olive oil and spread the dough evenly.
  5. Dimple the dough with your fingers and drizzle generously with olive oil. Add rosemary, sea salt, or toppings if using.
  6. Let the dough rest for another 20–30 minutes while the oven preheats to 425°F (220°C).
  7. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool slightly before slicing and serving.
