In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook chopped bacon until crisp. Remove and set aside, leaving the bacon grease in the pan.
Add diced onion and garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 2 minutes, until fragrant.
Stir in the chopped cabbage and cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender.
Add the cooked bacon back into the pan.
Season with brown sugar, salt, and black pepper. Stir well and serve hot.
