Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 3/4 cup pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Dash of ground nutmeg
  • 2–4 tablespoons water (for desired consistency)

Instructions

  1. Add chickpeas, pumpkin puree, tahini, olive oil, and lemon juice to a food processor.
  2. Sprinkle in cumin, salt, garlic powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
  4. Add water a tablespoon at a time until your desired consistency is reached.
  5. Transfer to a serving bowl and drizzle with additional olive oil if desired.
  6. Serve with pita chips, fresh veggies, or crackers.
