Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Unroll one can of crescent rolls and press it into the bottom of the dish, sealing the seams.
In a bowl, beat cream cheese, 1 cup sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the crescent roll layer.
Unroll the second can of crescent rolls and place over the filling, gently pressing to seal edges.
Pour melted butter evenly over the top.
Combine remaining 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over the butter.
Bake for 30 minutes, until golden brown. Cool slightly before slicing.
