Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded
  • 1 cup chopped green chiles (mild or hot)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ¼ teaspoon ground pepper
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 (10 oz) can green enchilada sauce
  • ½ cup chopped fresh cilantro (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except ½ cup of cheddar cheese reserved for topping.
  3. Mix thoroughly until well combined.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9-inch baking dish or cast iron skillet.
  5. Top with remaining cheddar cheese.
  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
  7. Garnish with chopped cilantro if desired and serve warm with tortilla chips or crusty bread.
