Ingredients

  • 1 baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 4 ripe tomatoes, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet and toast for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  3. In a bowl, combine diced tomatoes, garlic, basil, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  4. Spoon tomato mixture over each toasted slice.
  5. Drizzle with balsamic glaze if desired. Serve immediately.
