Ingredients

  • 5 pounds russet potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 3/4 cup salted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Place potatoes in a large pot and fill with water to cover. Bring to a boil.
  2. Cook for 15-20 minutes or until potatoes are fork tender.
  3. Drain the water and return potatoes to the pot.
  4. Add butter, heavy cream, and sour cream.
  5. Mash until completely smooth and creamy.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve warm.
