  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 2 cups barbecue sauce

  2. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, paprika, black pepper, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
  3. Rub the seasoning mixture evenly over both sides of the ribs.
  4. Cut each rack in half to fit into the crockpot.

  6. Pour barbecue sauce over the ribs, coating them generously.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 7–8 hours or on high for 3–4 hours until tender.
  8. For caramelized sauce, place ribs on a baking sheet, brush with more BBQ sauce, and broil for 5 minutes.
