Ingredients

  • 2 oz mezcal
  • 2 oz fresh grapefruit juice
  • 0.5 oz fresh lime juice
  • 0.5 oz agave syrup (or to taste)
  • 2 oz sparkling water (grapefruit or lime flavored)
  • Ice
  • Salt for rimming the glass (optional)
  • Grapefruit wedge for garnish

Instructions

  1. Rim the glass with salt if desired by rubbing a lime wedge around the rim and dipping in coarse salt.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the mezcal, grapefruit juice, lime juice, and agave syrup.
  3. Shake well for about 15 seconds until chilled.
  4. Strain into a glass filled with ice and top with sparkling water.
  5. Garnish with a grapefruit wedge and serve immediately.
