Ingredients

  • 2 oz vodka (or gin, if preferred)
  • 4 oz freshly squeezed grapefruit juice
  • Coarse salt for rimming the glass
  • Ice cubes
  • Grapefruit wedge, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Rim a highball glass with coarse salt by rubbing a grapefruit wedge around the rim and dipping it in salt.
  2. Fill the glass with ice cubes.
  3. Pour in the vodka (or gin) and grapefruit juice.
  4. Stir gently to combine.
  5. Garnish with a grapefruit wedge and serve immediately.

Notes

For a slightly sweeter twist, add a splash of simple syrup or use ruby red grapefruit juice.
