Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder.
Place the cubed bread in the baking dish. Top with cooked sausage and both cheeses.
Pour the egg mixture evenly over the bread and sausage. Press down gently to soak.
Bake uncovered for 45-50 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is golden.
Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
