Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 1 1/4 cups brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a rimmed sheet pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Mix in eggs and vanilla until fully incorporated.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips.
  7. Press the dough evenly into the prepared sheet pan.
  8. Bake for 18–20 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden and the center is set.
  9. Cool completely before slicing into bars.
