In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and crumbled, about 8-10 minutes.
Do not drain the grease. Sprinkle the flour evenly over the cooked sausage and stir until well combined. Cook for 2 minutes to remove the raw flour taste.
Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
Bring to a simmer and cook, stirring frequently, until the gravy has thickened, about 5-7 minutes.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serve warm over fresh biscuits.
