Ingredients

  • 8 oz spaghetti or noodles of choice
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil or neutral oil
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Sliced green onions, for garnish
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add sesame oil and minced garlic. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Stir in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, maple syrup, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes if using.
  4. Add the cooked noodles and toss to coat evenly in the sauce.
  5. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
