Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta (spaghetti, linguine, or fettuccine)
  • 2-3 white fish fillets (such as cod or tilapia)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice and zest of 1 lemon
  • 1/2 cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
  • Lemon slices, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Pat fish fillets dry and season with salt and pepper. Lightly coat in flour.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook fish for 3-4 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add butter and garlic. Cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  5. Add lemon juice, lemon zest, and broth. Stir and let simmer for 2 minutes.
  6. Return fish to the skillet and spoon sauce over the top.
  7. Serve fish over pasta, garnished with parsley and lemon slices.
