Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  3. Stir in garlic and ginger, cooking for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Add broccoli florets and cook for 3-4 minutes until they begin to soften.
  5. In a small bowl, mix beef broth, soy sauce, and sesame oil.
  6. In another small bowl, whisk cornstarch and water until smooth.
  7. Pour the sauce mixture over the beef and broccoli, then stir in the cornstarch slurry.
  8. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently, until the sauce thickens.
  9. Season with salt and pepper to taste, garnish with sesame seeds, and serve hot.
