Ingredients
For the Dough
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup unsalted butter, cold and cut into cubes
6 tablespoons ice water
For the Filling Options
Strawberry jam
Nutella
Cinnamon sugar (1/2 cup brown sugar + 1 tablespoon cinnamon)
For the Glaze
1 cup powdered sugar
2-3 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Sprinkles for decorating
Instructions
Prepare the Dough
In a food processor, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
Add the cold butter and pulse until crumbly.
Slowly add ice water, pulsing until dough comes together.
Divide dough into two discs, wrap, and chill for 30 minutes.
Assemble the Pop Tarts
Roll out dough to 1/8-inch thickness and cut into rectangles.
Place half of the rectangles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Add 1-2 tablespoons of your filling of choice to each rectangle.
Top with another rectangle, crimp edges with a fork, and poke holes on top.
Chill the assembled pop tarts for 30 minutes.
Bake and Glaze
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Bake pop tarts for 20-25 minutes or until lightly golden.
Cool completely before glazing.
Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla for the glaze and spread over pop tarts.
Add sprinkles if desired.
