Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add ground turkey and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
  3. Stir in garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Add soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, red pepper flakes, and black pepper. Stir to coat the turkey evenly.
  5. Let simmer for 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to blend and sauce to thicken slightly.
  6. Serve over cooked white rice and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
