Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 3 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 1 tablespoon butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, beat 1/2 cup butter and cream cheese until smooth.
  2. Add flour and mix until combined. Shape into 1-inch balls.
  3. Press dough into the bottoms and up the sides of greased mini muffin cups.
  4. In another bowl, whisk egg, brown sugar, pecans, 1 tablespoon butter, vanilla, and maple syrup until blended.
  5. Spoon filling into shells, about 1 tablespoon each.
  6. Bake at 350°F for 18-20 minutes or until set.
  7. Cool in pans for 2 minutes before removing to wire racks to cool completely.
