Ingredients

  • 1 box Jiffy corn muffin mix
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 4 hot dogs, each cut into 6 pieces (24 total)
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and spray a mini muffin pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the corn muffin mix, egg, milk, onion powder, garlic powder, and chili powder until well combined.
  3. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of batter into each mini muffin cup, filling them about 2/3 full.
  4. Press one piece of hot dog into the center of each cup.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and set.
  6. Cool slightly before removing from the pan. Serve warm with ketchup or mustard.

Notes

These mini bites are great for school lunches or game day appetizers. You can also try using turkey or veggie dogs for variation.
