Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
Add chicken, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning. Cook until the chicken is browned on all sides.
Stir in uncooked pasta, marinara sauce, and water or broth. Mix well.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer and cover. Cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender.
Remove from heat and stir in mozzarella and Parmesan cheese until melted.
Garnish with fresh basil if desired and serve hot.
