Ingredients

For the Crust

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg

For the Filling

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

For the Crust

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, melted butter, and egg. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  3. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan to form the crust.

For the Filling

  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.
  2. Add the eggs, vanilla extract, and melted butter. Mix until well combined.
  3. Gradually add the powdered sugar, beating until smooth and creamy.
  4. Pour the filling over the crust and spread evenly.
  5. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the center is just set. The center should still look slightly gooey.
  6. Cool completely before cutting into squares. Enjoy!
