Ingredients

  • 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and chopped
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 black tea bags
  • 1–2 tablespoons sugar (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves, for garnish
  • Mango slices or cubes, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
  2. Remove from heat and steep the tea bags for 5–10 minutes.
  3. Discard tea bags and allow tea to cool slightly.
  4. In a blender, puree the mango pieces with the remaining 2 cups of water until smooth.
  5. Strain the mango puree through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher.
  6. Add the brewed tea, lemon juice, and sugar (if using) to the pitcher and stir well.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  8. Serve over ice and garnish with mango slices and fresh mint leaves.
