Ingredients

  • 3 lbs chuck roast
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 8 slices provolone cheese

Instructions

  1. Place the chuck roast in the slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle the onion soup mix over the roast.
  3. Add beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours until tender.
  5. Shred the beef and mix with the juices.
  6. Toast hoagie rolls, add shredded beef, and top with provolone cheese.
  7. Serve with au jus for dipping.
