Preheat your smoker to 225°F.
In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel.
Brush the fillets lightly with olive oil and rub the seasoning blend on all sides.
Place the salmon directly on the smoker grates, skin side down.
Smoke for 60 to 90 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F and the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
Remove and serve warm or chilled.
