Ingredients

  • 1 box white cake mix (plus ingredients listed on the box)
  • 1 batch white buttercream frosting
  • White fondant
  • Snowflake cutter
  • Edible shimmer dust or luster dust
  • Piping bag and decorative tips
  • Silver or white sparkling sugar (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bake cupcakes according to the instructions on the cake mix box. Allow to cool completely.
  2. Roll out white fondant and use a snowflake cutter to cut snowflake shapes.
  3. Dust the snowflakes with edible shimmer or luster dust and let them dry on parchment paper.
  4. Prepare white buttercream frosting and fill a piping bag with your preferred decorative tip.
  5. Frost each cupcake with a swirl of buttercream.
  6. Gently place a fondant snowflake on top of each cupcake.
  7. Optionally, sprinkle with sparkling sugar for a festive touch.
