Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm water (110°F)
  • 2 tablespoons active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 1/2 to 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter (melted, for brushing)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Mix in honey, melted butter, egg, and salt until combined.
  3. Add 3 1/2 cups flour and mix until the dough begins to form. Gradually add more flour if needed.
  4. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  5. Form the dough into 12 rolls and place them in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
  6. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 25 minutes or until puffy.
  7. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  8. Bake for 15 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown.
  9. Brush with melted butter and serve warm.
