Ingredients

  • 1 store-bought angel food cake, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tub (8 oz) whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed
  • 1 quart fresh strawberries, sliced

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and mix well.
  2. Fold in the whipped topping until fully combined.
  3. In a trifle dish or large glass bowl, layer half of the cake cubes, then spread half of the cream mixture over them.
  4. Add a layer of sliced strawberries.
  5. Repeat the layers with remaining cake cubes, cream mixture, and strawberries.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
