  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 package (3 oz) strawberry gelatin
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Prepare the cake batter according to the package instructions using water, oil, and eggs.
  3. Pour batter into the baking dish and bake as directed on the box. Let the cake cool completely.
  4. Once cooled, use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes evenly across the cake.

  9. Top with fresh sliced strawberries before serving.
