Ingredients

  • 2 (8 oz) filet mignon steaks
  • 2 lobster tails, thawed if frozen
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Pat steaks dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Sear steaks for 2-3 minutes per side until browned.
  5. Transfer skillet to the oven and roast for 5-7 minutes or until desired doneness. Remove and rest steaks.
  6. While steaks cook, use kitchen shears to cut lobster shells down the middle and pull meat over shell.

  8. Brush butter mixture over lobster meat. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until opaque.
  9. In a small skillet, melt remaining 2 tablespoons butter with remaining garlic until fragrant.
  10. Serve steak and lobster with garlic butter, garnished with parsley and lemon wedges.
