Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, combine mashed sweet potato, eggs, almond butter, maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
Add cocoa powder, almond flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir until fully combined.
Fold in chocolate chips if using.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean.
Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before slicing and serving.
