Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 cup diced green bell pepper
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 6 slices Texas toast
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess grease.
  3. Add diced onion and green bell pepper, cooking until softened.
  4. Stir in tomato sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  5. Simmer for 5-7 minutes, allowing flavors to meld. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Place Texas toast slices on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for 3-5 minutes until golden.
