Ingredients

  • 2 (5-ounce) cans of tuna in water, drained
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 8 slices of bread (white or whole grain)
  • Butter for grilling

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the drained tuna, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  2. Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Place 4 slices of bread, butter-side-down, on a skillet or griddle.
  4. Top each with a slice of cheddar cheese, a generous spoonful of tuna mixture, and another slice of cheese.
  5. Place remaining bread slices on top, butter-side-up.
  6. Cook over medium heat until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!
