Ingredients

  • ¾ cup warm milk
  • 2¼ tsp instant yeast
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp melted butter (for topping)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add flour, salt, softened butter, and egg. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Divide dough into 9-12 pieces and shape into rolls. Place in a greased baking dish.
  6. Cover and let rise again for 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  8. Bake rolls for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Mix melted butter with minced garlic and brush over warm rolls.
  10. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
